Terms of Service

By accessing or using HOMAI (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts & access

Accounts are provided to authorised users only. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and any issued API keys confidential and for all activity under your account. We may suspend access for misuse, security risk, or breach of these Terms.

2. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, scopes, or access data you are not authorised to see.
• Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute third-party imagery or data beyond what your licence and these Terms permit.
• Do not use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

3. Nature of the assessment

Risk scores, roof assessments, and insurance classifications are AI- and data-derived estimates produced from aerial imagery and official datasets. They are decision-support information, not a substitute for a physical inspection, professional survey, or a binding insurance decision. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Data sources & attribution

The Service incorporates official Norwegian open data (Kartverket / Geonorge under CC BY 4.0, NVE, NIBIO, MET Norway), OpenStreetMap, and other sources, each used under their respective terms. Our own analysis and reports are the property of HOMAI.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HOMAI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on the Service's outputs.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we process and why.

What we process

• Account data — your name, work email, organisation, role and permissions.
• Usage & activity — sign-ins, address searches, property selections, analyses run, and chatbot messages, used to operate the Service, for security, and for billing/quota.
• Property & analysis data — addresses/coordinates you analyse and the resulting reports.

How it is protected

Sensitive settings and stored analyses are encrypted at rest. Access is role-based; provider and imagery API keys are used only server-side and are never exposed to the browser. Requests that change data require a CSRF token, and sessions use hardened cookies.

Third parties

To produce a report we send the relevant location/imagery to the configured AI provider and query official geodata services. We do not sell personal data.

Retention & your rights

Data is retained while your account is active and as needed for legal, security and billing purposes. Administrators can delete activity logs, chat history and analyses. To exercise data rights, contact your HOMAI administrator.

Cookie Policy

We use a small number of cookies, primarily strictly-necessary ones:

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in. It is HttpOnly, Secure (over HTTPS) and SameSite-protected. The Service cannot function without it.
• "Remember me" — optional, set only if you tick the box at sign-in, to extend your session.
• Preferences — local, in-browser settings (e.g. map layer or view choices) that are not used for tracking.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. By signing in or creating an account you consent to the strictly-necessary cookies described here. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, but doing so will sign you out.
